I recently purchased an item from an individual who appears not to know how to convert avoid. to troy. I did not catch his mistake until I had returned home. He had oz. t written on the receipt but when I weighed it back home on my scale, which is avoid. the figure was the same as on the receipt. So, if anyone out there does not know here is the conversion. multiply the avoid weight by .914458333 to obtain the troy weight. On very small items there is not much difference but as things get heavier the difference becomes appreciable. IP: Logged |

Alternatively, you can go to Google and type your request. For example, type "2 ounces in troy ounces" and it will return your answer. I think it will convert almost any units of weight, measurement, currency, etc. It will also translate languages. IP: Logged |
