There is a directory listing for a New York jeweler by the name of Noah Stoddard in 1839. It would help to see a picture of the spoon and of the mark to see whether or not it fits this area and period stylistically. IP: Logged |

Thank you for your reply. Here are two images. I think it conforms to the period. After receiving you post I searched and found this link on another forum that shows his hallmark. Irish American Spoon? The link refers to page 49 of McGrew's book Thanks again for your help IP: Logged |
