[01-1599] Hi, I am a new collector needing information on an old fiddle back spoon. It was made by Chas. Babcock. Markings look like the letter "D", followed by what appears to be an eagle, and a queen's head facing the left. Does anyone have any information on this silversmith? I would love to know the history of this wonderful piece!

According to the Darling foundation publication on New York State Silversmiths, Charles Babcock worked in Albany, NY during 1832-1833. Fred IP: Logged |
