I was going to make this a part of my last post but decided to make it a new post. I have used the 3M products for some time but decided to try a different product. I have known of this product for quite a while but decided to give it a try four months ago, Renaissance Micro-Crystalline Wax Polish. I applied it to a teapot four months ago and left it out in the open. No tarnish as yet so has anyone else given it a try? Let me know if you have and what your experience has been with it. Good Post! I have seen that product for some time and wondered how well it worked. It seems like I read that it had to be applied carefully to a really clean surface (so that made me alittle wary) and I can't remember how you clean it off. I also thought that it would work well for realtively plain objects but those with more detail would be harder to cover. I can't wait to hear others have experoenced. IP: Logged |

This is a formulation used by the British Museum for preservation of antique metal objects. You can find this and other Renaissance products, along with descriptions of their use on the Conservation page of The Gemmary. [gemmary.com/restore.html - link gone from the Internet] . IP: Logged |

I have used it for things like vases that do not get washed and found it to work well. The really neat thing about it is that it goes on with no evidence that you have put anything on! Also the amount used is tiny so one tin lasts. IP: Logged |
