I have read this recently. Can it be said to be true in general? IP: Logged |

I talked with a silver dealer today who has a specialty in napkins rings. She said that about 50% of what she considered coin silver napkins rings were unmarked. The remainder were marked either coin or the mark of the manufacturer. Occasionally she sees one marked standard and that she considered this marking the equivalent of coin. IP: Logged |

50% sounds about right. I see quite a few of them for sale on line and in auction listings and most of them are described as maker unknown. IP: Logged |

I have a pair that are marked for R&W Wilson, but haven't seen any others for many years. IP: Logged |
