I found two shell coin teaspoons, and have been struggling to find the marks. They make me wonder if they are Continental. The marks follow the spoons to which they are associated.

Hi Doc,

I am just going on gut here and could be horribly wrong... But they feel continental to me. It is not practical but an assay would give a hint.

I await the real authorities answer!

It has a Scandinavian feel to me, although it still could be American.

Thank you both; if not confirmed, you have validated my initial reaction. The marks, the squared off end and the double swell design on the one spoon all point to Continental. Nice spoons in any event, I think.
