I am trying to find the silver mark for
    DuBosq & Co; DuBosq, Carrow & Co;

    or

    Francis P. DuBosq of Philadelphia.

Time frame, mid 1800's. I know for certain DuBosq & Co moved from 5 Bank Alley to 104 Chestnut in 1856. At that time Francis P. DuBosq, John Carrow and Francis Thibault were DuBosq & Company.

Thanks!!!!

This is a long delayed continuation of this thread with only a bit of "new" information.

Henry Marin Augustus Dubosq who immigrated in 1792 is possibly the family member that appears first in Philadelphia.

There is a lot more information in wev's link to Brix's Philadelphia Directory about the Dubosq's.

This is from an online listing for Holy Trinity Catholic Church, PA. Marriages 1796-1803: DUBOSQ, Henry Marinus Augustus, 9th, 1795, to Sophia Madelaine DeVal, French.

This gentleman and lady almost have to be the progenitors of the Dubosq silversmiths and jewelers in mid nineteenth century Philadelphia. There is no other Dubosq listed in the early nineteenth century in Philadelphia other than Henry and family.
