A friend has a soup ladle in the pointed antique pattern circa 1790 to 1810 with the name Odivrne as the maker impressed on it. None of my books have that name listed a I wonder in anyone else has seen this name. There are some Odiorne's in the New Hampshire area and maybe some in the Massachusetts area during this time, but none with a connection to the making or selling of silver. Any thoughts? IP: Logged |

Somehow I think you are misreading the name. Pics would help IP: Logged |

It is also possible that it is not American, but Continental. Agreed that photos would help! IP: Logged |

Thanks for your suggestions. I don't have a picture right now, but when I see my friend again I will take one. IP: Logged |

I don't know. I saw it at an antique show in Atlanta. IP: Logged |
