Author | Topic: Old silver plate service by National Silver Company |

![]() ![]() ![]() I just bought some flatware. It came in the original box to retard tarnish. It is 66 placd setting and doesnt look particularly impressive. It has 66 pieces in really good condition, and the original gift card, and a certificate from the National Silver Company stating it is " twenty year plate". I thought I was just buying some cheap flatware for everyday use...and maybe I have but I thought I might check to see if maybe I should just resell it. I would appreciate any help. I did an internet search by National Silver Company and came up with only tarnish ;-) IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() National Silver Co. Goes way back to 1890 and they did produce some very attractive silver plate patterns around 1900-1910. If yours is from the 1930's or later and looks pretty ordinary it probably is and doesn't have significant value. If you could send a picture or scan of the pattern I could tell you more.
