Several months ago when Summer was still young I took a walk over to the local used bookstore during lunch break to see if there were any interesting books on silver that we don't yet own. I found a copy of John Loring's Magnificent Tiffany Silver - a big beautiful book with lots of luscious pictures of truly fabulous pieces of silver. I couldn't wait for my bus ride home that evening to savor the book. As I sat there in awe of the silver, I felt I was being watched. Sure enough, the two ladies sitting on either side of me finally said, "Excuse me, but what is that book? We couldn't help but notice the beautiful silver. We adore silver." We all spent the rest of the ride marvelling over the silver and I am sure Mr. Loring saw another sale of his book. It was fun to share my love of silver unexpectedly with perfect strangers under totally unanticipated circumstances. IP: Logged |
