Some days ago I got a cigaret case which is telling a nice story: Built between 1908 and 1917 in St. Petersburg by Petr Michailov Muromkin, silver 84 (875/1000), thumbpiece with rosecut diamonds, dedicated to Maestro Iwan Wasilijewitsch Skskusowitsch for his successful work at the St. Petersburg opera in the years from 1918 to 1923 (post revolution!!) by his staff. Front with 5 goldrubel coin
Back listed with all the operas etc. he conducted
Inside all the names of his staff, actors, etc.
At that time people get killed if some " imperialistic" silver or gold was found. Sazikov2000 IP: Logged |
