What more information do you want? The fact that it's titled "Springtime" suggests that it is from the 1910s or 20s or even later. That's assuming the pattern name is on the bottom of the pieces. This was a very big marketing ploy to get people to buy a "pattern" and then stick with it for life. And a very effective one, too. From the title, I suspect that it has little flowers around the edges, and a vaguely French feel. This is all what you'd expect, and coordinates nicely with the dishes and the glassware that people bought in the same period for their dining rooms. I don't know of any published sources (and I'm not omniscient!) that show all of the plated hollowware patterns from the 20th century. This is one area where virtually no scholarly work has been done (Charles Venable, formerly of the Dallas Museum of Art, did a lot of research into plated silver, but didn't publish it all--see his great book, "Silver in America 1840-1940: A Century of Splendor" from the mid-1990s. Dear Jaybird, Your tea/coffee service was made to match the 1847 Rogers "Springtime" flatware pattern, which was introduced in 1957. So, your service is newer than 1957. I do not think new pieces are currently available. 1847 Rogers is the "premium" line of silverplate from International Silver Co. Most of the 1847 Rogers patterns are collectible, and holloware tends to be hard to find. Your set is therefore more marketable than average, should you want to sell it. If not, you can collect the flatware which goes with you tea service. I hope this helps! Brent IP: Logged |

Further information on this pattern (reproductions of 1958 and 1967 catalog pages for flatware serving pieces and additional hollow ware) can be found in Bones and Fisher's "The Standard Encyclopedia of American Silverplate Flatware and Hollow Ware Identification & Value Guide."
