I have a silver plate that is stamped Exquisite and underneath is Rogers & Bro. with the number 4672. Do you know when it was made? IP: Logged |

"Exquisite" is probably the pattern name, and that would put it into the 20th century, and most likely in the 1920s or 30s, given their propensity to name silver designs for marketing reasons. I assume that, being one of the many Rogers firms, this is plated, and as such plated goods are less collected and valuable than sterling--but curators aren't supposed to talk about values. Rogers & Bro. introduced two flatware patterns named Exquisite, one in 1940, another in 1957. The holloware could have been made to match one of the flatware patterns. IP: Logged |
