"I have a silver plated coffee and tea set. The mark is J R & S and it has warranted harc soldered. It also has a globe shape, ep and All The Round. Does anyone know how old this is plus the value of the set." Thanks. [This message has been edited by Mod assistant (edited 03-04-2024).] IP: Logged |

Your tea set is English silverplate, made by John Round & Sons of Sheffield. It seems they used the "All the Round" mark from 1872 all the way to 1957. So, it would be difficult to date the set exactly without seeing a picture. We do not give valuations in these forums. The value of your set will depend on the number of pieces, the condition, and the style of the design. If there is significant wear through, where the base metal can be seen throught the plating, or major dents, these will detract quite a bit from the value. Japanese or Art Deco styling will enhance the value, while a traditional style will hold it back. Your best bet for determining a value is to check eBay for sets a lot like yours, and to see what they sell for. I hope this helps! Brent IP: Logged |
