gravygal unregistered	posted 04-17-2001 12:43 AM I'm trying to find out some information on a humidor that was left to me by my grandparents....it is one of my most prized posessions, and yet I know nothing about it. It is made by the Derby Silver Co., and is quadruple plate. The stamp/engraving on the bottom has an anchor and a crown, and also says that it was patented on Sept. 6th.....I can't make out the date, but it looks like it might be either 1837 ot 1937...not sure. It has a bulldog/boxer figure seated on the top of the box, and the sides have a gargoyle type pattern. The bulldog seems to have glass eyes...they seem almost real! I have no interest in ever selling it, but I am so very curious as to how old it is, and where it is from. Any information or advice to where I can look for information would be greatly appreciated.
