I have found a silver pitcher with the maker marking of W.Rogers and an additional code of either "17" or "I7", both marks are found underneath on the inside of the legs. The top of the lip as two cuts on either side of about 1" in length. Any ideas about age, value, etc.? Thanks pianotiklr IP: Logged |

Unfortunately, we will need a bit more information to make any sort of evaluation. As you may know, there were several silver companies that included Rogers in their names, including a few different W. Rogers'. Your pitcher is almost certainly silverplate, as that's what the various Rogers' mostly produced. See if you can find some other marks and tell us exactly what they say. Other than that, we would need to see a picture to tell you anything more about it. Sorry! Brent IP: Logged |
