I have a piece of flatware that has WM A ROGERS {silver nickel} R stamped on the back. Does anyone know what time period this is from? Where could I find patterns for this on the internet? I'd like to find out what pattern this is also. IP: Logged |

Welcome to the forums! The mark on your flatware is one used by Wm. A. Rogers, Ltd. The company began making silverplated wares in 1894. They became part of Oneida Silversmiths in 1929. So, your flatware was made some time after 1894. If you can post a photo or scan of the flatware handle and tell us what the item is, a forum participant can most likely identify the pattern and the date it was introduced. As far as I know, there isn't a web site that shows all of the Wm A. Rogers patterns (there were many). Once you know the pattern name, you'll be able to search the internet and find all kinds of interesting information -- some correct and some not. Hope this helps! IP: Logged |
