I have a 67 piece set of 1847 Rogers Bros First Love in the original box. How do I find out how much it is worth? IP: Logged |

Places such as Replacements Ltd. specialize in replacement flatware and finding out of production patterns. Plated flatware is often highly desirable, but not often very valuable. It depends on the pattern and the condition. There were hundreds of thousands of sets of plated flatware made in the first half of the 20th century, and most of it is still out there. Check on places like eBay. Any other advice from the forum? IP: Logged |

This doesn't tell you what it is worth. It only tells you what someone wants to sell theirs for. It doesn't mean the seller has ever had a real buyer pay that price. Furthermore, even if they occasionally do manage to sell a few items at the listed prices, the items could also be available elsewhere for a lot less or more. To get a proper valuation for tax or insurance purposes you will require the services of a professional appraiser. To find an appraiser in your are click here. IP: Logged |
