i would like to know if anybodycould tell me the maker& year possible the pattern.It has a decorative unicorn head faceing left 301 E.P.C. hand chased.Your help is apreciated IP: Logged |

no it is just the head almost looks like it has a beard has what lookd like a rope underlineing the head IP: Logged |

It sounds like a mark of W.H. Glenny & Co. of Rochester, New York, established in 1876. They were wholesalers and retailers of silverware and jewelry.

Their trademark was similar to that of The Waldo Foundry of Bridgeport, Connecticut, and also similar to that of the H.H. Curtis & Co. of North Attleboro, Massachusetts. Trademarks of all three companies are documented in Rainwater/Redfield's "Encyclopedia of American Silver Manufacturers" along with further information on these other two companies. IP: Logged |
