What is the mark on the pieces -- "1847 Rogers Bros." -- or something else?

Where did you get the name of the pattern?

Suspect this is the pattern also known as Daybreak and Elegant Lady. This pattern has a bewildering variety of names. It came out in 1952 and was made for over 30 years. The large number of names is related to its use as a premium. Small banks gave out place settings with deposits, a practice I am aware of continuing into the early 80's. Usually the banks used the Elegant Lady name. The company that brokered the promotions used even more names as they presented the promotion to competing institutions. This is a pattern that is frequently found mib as the first place setting was free.

What are the marks on the flatware itself? Not the boxes, the flatware.

Got photos?

This is the Exquisite pattern, introduced by the International Silver Co. in 1957. If this is your pattern, your pieces were made then or later. Holloware was also made in this pattern. Note that International produced more than one pattern named Exquisite.
