I have a silver creamer that was made by the International Silver Co. at the turn of the century. Can you give me any location that I can find out about it. It is a 8 oz. silver soldered creamer with the Penn. Railroad logo and Thanks for any help. IP: Logged |

Your creamer is a piece of railroad ware, made for use on trains. If I am correct, the piece is probably quite heavy for its size and has a rough, pebbly finish. You will find similar pieces made for hotel use with a hotel trademark. These pieces show up for sale fairly often, but they don't really interest most silver collectors. They do interest railroad buffs, though. I know there is a book on railroad china and silverware, and I'm sure there are collector's organizations. In other words, your best bet to get more information is to approach it from the other side of the tracks. IP: Logged |
