Rainwater's Encyclopedia of American Silver Manufacturers only shows a photo of the mark and that it was found on a circa 1890's teapot. The mystery continues.... IP: Logged |

Hello Cliff: While I can't help to ID your set without a photo, I have in my collection a meat fork in the Rosalie pattern by Royal Plate Co. Mine appears to be roses (hence the name no doubt) but it is well worth checking to see if "Rosalie' might be the pattern of your tea set. While Tere Hagans book doesn't list Rosalie as a multi-motif pattern, perhaps we have come across a 'new' look of this old pattern (meaning that you have an old 'something' fresh for us to look at!) Do try researching the Royal Plate 'Rosalie' pattern as it may be the same as your tea set--Good luck and let us all know! IP: Logged |
