It is silverplate. The pattern is Romanesque, patented June 13, 1898. IP: Logged |

The piece you show comes in both the solid bowl you have and an ornately pierced avariety. It is a real fantasy item. Romanesque appears to have been made very briefly, maybe for only a year or two. IP: Logged |
