Can you help me identify this silver mark. I have a silver cream and sugar platter with a mark that seems like it might be LeBolt & Co. but it's not dead on. Any help identifying the maker would be appreciated! Thanks. IP: Logged |

Thanks for the lead. I'm looking at the mark for them online
Is this the mark you're referring to? IP: Logged |

No it isn't, but you can find a drawing of an Ellmore mark with the lion, shield and E in Rainwater's Encyclopedia of American Silver Manufacturers. It is similar to the one in your photo. IP: Logged |

By the way, a sterling mark usually means that an item is made of sterling silver, not silverplate. IP: Logged |
