Patrick Vyvyan Posts: 640 Registered: May 2003	posted 10-02-2003 10:36 PM If you're looking for the Chester, England, sterling silver hallmark, see this recent posting: http://www.smpub.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/001236.html This piece is Chester 1912/3. Working back on the alphabetical sequence, 1901/2 should show the letter A in the same style and shield. However, also note that the year change of letter was not necessarily on the 1st. of January, so your piece may have the last letter of the previous series. IP: Logged
