Remembrance celebrates the centennial of 1847 Rogers, even though most references give it a patent date of 1948. It is a tailored pattern with petite detail. Remembrance seems to be one of the patterns caught up in the general decline of IS production standards. Some pieces believed to have been made in the early 1950's can be very difficult to polish. And I have seen unused pieces in factory wrappers that were clearly defective. This was a full line pattern featuring all the items made in standard silverplate sets. It also seems to have been the last 1847 pattern with a standard factory applied monogram available. IP: Logged |
