Hi, im wondering if there any good web sites to help me look up electroplate silver items and there makers, any way i have a little bowl, with the maker being TI & EM thats what i can make out any way, there is also a stamp of what looks like and, owl. There is also a crown mark, would it be right in saying its made before 1896? thanks for help IP: Logged |

Your mark is actually TL & EM, for Thomas Latham & Ernest Morton of Birmingham, England. You are correct, the mark predates 1896. A mark like yours was used from 1866 to 1896. The owl is indeed an owl. I hope this helps! Brent IP: Logged |
