Hi, I recently purchased an Amston gravy boat from an estate sale. The bottom reads Amston Fine Silver Plate 1630 with the letters epc in a small box. I would like to find out any info on the age and company. I gave $25.00 for it, hope I made a wise choice, but I had to have it. Amston Silver made sterling and silverplate in Meriden CT. There is no founding date, but they were out of business c 1960, apparently purchased by the Ellmore Silver Company. As for the wisdom of the purchase, no one can decide that but you. If you had to have it, you paid exactly what you needed to. IP: Logged |
