Kerrie unregistered	posted 05-13-2004 05:31 AM Hello, I saw that someone else asked about these silver marks in April and they were IDed as 20th century silver plate. I was hoping to ID the maker and wanted to provide my pictures in hopes that it would help. I have a vacuum insulated ice bucket and a hammered silver on copper tray in an art nouveau style. The tray is also marked Nordic Art, which I believe is the pattern. Thank you for your time! IP: Logged

Dale Posts: 2132 Registered: Nov 2002	posted 08-04-2004 09:42 PM Nordic Art is a term that seems to imply a kind of design style. In this case it draws upon Jensen and his school. Marks such as this tend to be elusive. It is highly possible that this was a term used by a department store to promote its products. Which would mean it does not have a makers mark. Such practices were fairly common into the late 1980's. And these types of marks can drive you crazy. I would just let it go, call it Nordic Art, unknown maker or designer. IP: Logged
