Hi, I'm not sure if we have the story straight, but my Granny who has passed away in the last year seemed to think that her Father had 2 of these silver sets made and kept one for himself and gave one to the Dutch royal family. I was wondering if anyone knew how old it is and who the maker would be. It has four markings on it. I have tried to explain them as best as I can below.
Any info would be great. I have been searching for so long and finally someone put me onto your forum for which I am most grateful. Thank you

The lion with 2 indicates your set is silver, not silverplate, from Holland earlier than the 1950s (when the number 2 changed to II). The woman's head is Minerva and the B in her hair indicates the assay office. IP: Logged |
