I recently purchased a old teapot at a sale. It is about 9 inches high. On the bottom of the teapot are hallmarks. One is a crown with what appears to be an 8 on top of it, the other is a snake resembling the letter S and the other one is a crest with xxxx across it. The spout of the teapot is a snake head and the top part of the handle is the snake tail. My Aunt got this teapot several years ago at a yard sale in the Tennesee mountains while she was on vacation. I purchased it at her auction. I would love to know more about this unique pot as I have never seen anything like it before. The pot is silver on copper, it is also wrote on the bottom. Thank you!!! ------------------ IP: Logged |
