I have an old silverplate water pitcher. There is no mark just the name "J. C. Reed, Jr., & Co. N.Y." on the bottom. There are two numbers that appear to be stamped. The #s are 1 and 2 and they are offset. The pitcher is lined and has a drain hole in the bottom. It is lidded and had two warrior looking heads.. one on each side. It is quite attractive. Any info. would be appreciated. Thanks IP: Logged |

Without a picture or size description it is difficult. J.C. Reed does not appear in any of my reference guides. It could be a company trying to copy off the good name Reed & Barton. Does it appear Victorian? Is it a double walled pitcher?
