hi, just got this bowl with the following hallmark: richfield plate co. with a 3-leaf clover seems pretty early year for silverplate? thanks in advance. IP: Logged |

1842 is a design or production number, not a date. Richfield Plate was a division of Homan Manufacturing of Cincinnati, producing inexpensive silverplate goods. IP: Logged |
