Looking over the number of questions we get on commercial silverplate, I recalled something Ken Diebel had told me. This would have been about 12 years ago, the last time I did a show in Dallas. At that time he said he had begun research on the topic and would have something to publish on the subject in a few years. AIR, he also mentioned his High School Class' upcoming 70th reunion. Anyway, I have never seen the article. And wondered if anyone here knows anything about this project. Ken was the author with Fredna Davis of the first study of silverplate patterns, about 30 years. He was a Southern Gentleman with a wealth of anecdotes and stories, always a delight to visit with.
