I have a silver samovar, looking Victorian and decorated with grape clusters and leaves. It has an ivory spigot in front. It is approximately 17" in height with legs of approximately 4". It has two handles on the sides and a warmer under the bottom. There are four markings on the bottom. On one side is BSCEP in boxes. Across from that are the numgers 5801. To the left is three squares, two stars on the sides with a cross in the middle. Across from that are three drawings. First a griffin facing left, second a crown with what looks like it might be a collar under (appearing like it could be a knight) and a crown with an arm holding a hammer coming out of the top. I can't find this in any of the books I have. If anyone can help I would sure appreciate it. I inherited a lot of silver and silverplate items and am trying to identify them. IP: Logged |
