Hi, My parents gave me 12 goblet type of silverplate? cups. Here is the pic of the markings. I can't seem to find anything on them? IP: Logged |

Sheffield Silver Company of Brooklyn NY, begun in 1908 and absorbed into Reed & Barton in 1974.

I took the liberty of deleting you image post since I did the same thing. I wonder if we can draw any dating conclusion from the change in the gent's hairdo from the firm's first mark:

To respond to your question as to whether they are silver plated or silver, they are plated. The EPNS stands for Electro Plated Nickel Silver which means they are made of a nickel based alloy and were electro-plated with silver. IP: Logged |
