I have a set of open salts, salt and pepper shakers, and spoons and am trying to identify the maker. The spoons have the letters EPNS on the back and the other items have "Made in England" on the back. I don't have pictures at this time, but can take them if necessary. Thanks! ------------------ IP: Logged |

Hi, EPNS stands for Electro Plated Nickel Silver, i.e. Silver Plate and the "Made in England" would suggest they are 20th Century. IP: Logged |

Leah, Please take advantage of our search option for the term EPSN. You will find it very revealing. Many questions have been previously answered by the volunteers of the forum. Fred IP: Logged |

I was pretty sure they were silver plate but hadn't noticed the letters until today. Thanks for confirming my thoughts. Is there any way to identify the maker without a mark? ------------------ IP: Logged |
