I have a set of teaspoons with six marks one of which is B.A.&Co. I am working on a photo but was wondering if there is any info that might help me identify the other marks. Thanks in anticipation. IP: Logged |

Actually, you may have it backwards. The other marks might help you id the maker's mark. What are the other marks? Tom IP: Logged |

Thanks for that Tom, I thought that was the makers mark but it was the easiest one to make out. I have tried photos (without the ba&co to try and get the other marks more clearly-not sure if I succeeded) cheers IP: Logged |

Great picture. What is the mark in the crest between the B and the leopard's head? Tom IP: Logged |

Tom, I have looked at them all under X10 eyepeice and they are smooth, anything that was there is worn away. One has a few nondescript indents-like dots, I am trying to get a good pic but its very hard. Thanks for clearing up one thing though, I worked out the B and thought maybe it was a leopards head. The letter B may be a date mark if we can ascertain the town, that may help us find out when it was made. Tom IP: Logged |

These marks are pseudohallmarks used by Alfred Browett & Co., Birmingham (England)silverplaters. IP: Logged |
