Hello - I have a lovely old intricate silver basket with glass liner - I believe it to be Sheffield. It has 3 embossed hallmarks; left to right they are: G.OA111A (left) 5691 (center) and lastly, a Cat head (leopard?) with whiskers and the letters "C C" on either side of the head at the base of the square the head is in. Can you tell me if this is Sheffield? If so, what do the letters C C stand for and can you tell me the age of the basket? Thank you for any help you can provide. IP: Logged |

This does not sound like Old Sheffield, if that is your question, but we requiree photographs of marks and of the piece for definitive identifications. As a new mamber, please be familiar with the guidelines (especially as they apply to commercial sales) and with rules for posting photos. IP: Logged |

Thank you. I own this piece and have for quite some time. It is an old piece, so I will take photos and reference them. IP: Logged |
