[21-1020, 26-0684] Another ladle I bought today at an estate I don't have many reference books at all. That's why I am always asking here. Most times someone knows or can direct me. Anyway this is obviously a ladle and its 8.25 inches long note the neat pouring spout. Anyway on the back states L.Axelson then in a small circle a face then the letters ns in a box. Any info on this, I assume maker would be appreciated. I think its plate but?? IP: Logged |

This is a piece of plate or possibly a highly polished nickle silver. The mark is probably that of the jeweler. Most likely it is Swedish. The one sided pouring lip is typical of 19th century Swedish silverware. The face you see may be three crowns in a trefoil. [This message has been edited by Dale (edited 09-29-2005).] IP: Logged |
