I recently bought a piece of silverplate on Ebay. I have seen several pieces with identical marks before and I decided to start collecting a few of these serving pieces. I have never been able to find any info on the maker. I have not got the piece yet but I can pass on the auction number if that is allowed. The marks on the back are a Capital G in a shield, under that is a circle with 4 blobs that resemple a 4 leaf clover, next is the number 4 in a circle and on bottom the number 8 in a circle. Any help is appreciated. IP: Logged |

Without seeing the mark I believe that would be from Gerity Production Comany. Not much on them except that their ad read "Custom plating since 1898." Hope that is some help for you. IP: Logged |
