This post is made for a friend of mine, who has not yet joined the forum. He just called me about a teaset he purchased today. On the base it is marked pennsylvania silver co and then has the following marks man inside a shield, a balance scale and the liberty bell (with the crack) lastly there is the number 400. He is positive that it is sterling, based on the look and softness of the metal. I will encourage him to post the pictures. I have searched here and elsewhere with no result. IP: Logged |

Not sterling. The company was established in the 1920s to make silverplate hollowware and soda fountain fittings. It failed durning the depression. IP: Logged |
