Please, accept my sincere thanks, in advance. And, excuse my ignorance! I've searched the site for an answer to no avail. I've inherited two coffee/tea servers. On the bottom of each is a, sort of, small rectangle piece with: Middletown Plate Co. 1950 Middletown, CT Then under the rectangle, engraved onto the piece is the number 5 on one, and the number 6 on the other. I've not been able to find any information on these pieces. Initially, I assumed the "1950" was a year but I'm rather sure I was told they were given to my grandmother by her Aunt years before. Of course, Granny was a bit old when the conversation took place. In any event, the information I've learned from previous posts about this company have left me scratching my head in confusion. It doesn't seem to be the standard Middletown Plate Company hallmark. Again, Thanks ever so much!! Patty Coll IP: Logged |
