I recently acquired an old piece of silver-maybe silver plated. It has a footed platter-6 1/2" in diameter. There are 4 little 'cups' that each sit on a stem so they won't fall over. A carry handle comes up the center. On the bottom it has a marking along the edge of 2 keys that are crossed. Each cup is about 3 3/4" tall. Quite heavy--has sort of a carnival effect to it--maybe because it needs to be cleaned?? If anyone knows anything about the 2 keys--PLEASE HELP ME!! I searched and searched=but no luck. IP: Logged |

Hi there.. What you have is probbably a cruet stand for egg cups.. The strange colors are from tarnish. It should be cleaned. What you have is plate.. The cross keys are one of the english silver plate companies, Dixon or somebody like that, and I will look it up tomorrow when i am more awake. Hope this helps. Marc IP: Logged |

Thank you so very much! The 2 keys on the bottom are in a box with a little triangle on the bottom. I believe it is an egg thing--there are 4 little slots along the bottom stem where I think the spoons would go. A lot of time people will write me and tell me what I have. I drew a picture of the markings since they are too small to pick up on the camera. If you can come up with anything on who made it-I would GREATLY appreciate it!!
