We have two sets which include a chased, footed cobalt lined salt and a footed pepper shaker. On the bottom it is marked sterling and has the initials or hallmark of N E S in individual shields. Any idea as to maker? Thanks IP: Logged |

Hi and welcome! I noticed that you are an estate auction company. Are you asking your question for the purpose of your business or are you also a silver collector and are asking about your personal collection that is not for sale? The reason I ask is that this forum is not a place for researching to help sell things (see the Forum Guidelines by clicking on the link in the green box at the top of the page). IP: Logged |

Probably New England Sterling Co., and therefore, not terribly old. NES was established in 1969 and is still in business. They primarily make traditional style hollowware in popular forms, such as S & P sets, candelabra, etc. IP: Logged |
