[21-1191] Hi all! Please, I could use help on a silverplate mark I've seen on that unmentionable site. The auction has ended so I hope it's OK to ask.
The mark looks familiar but I cannot find it anywhere in my books. Does anyone recognize it? Thanks as always for your time. IP: Logged |

I have the same piece. I have never been able to place the maker, or truly identify what it was used for. I have not seen the marks on anything else, though, so maybe it was a company that did mostly housewares or novelties. Hope someone else knows the answers! Brent IP: Logged |

Hello Brent! Thanks for responding. Maybe someone can nail the maker. That said: Thank you Scott for the picture! Jersey [This message has been edited by jersey (edited 01-21-2011).] IP: Logged |

There's a food serving or handling implement that looks enough like this item to be correct with the US Pat. 2010074 - Filed Apr 16, 1935. The inventor was Joseph Fuerst. IP: Logged |

That fits well with the F in the trademark. Any idea who he was? Brent IP: Logged |
