[01-1003] Thinking of getting this Tilting Pot offen eBay. The (3) marks indicate it is antique and one of the dozen "Meriden" manufacturers in Meriden Conn in 1900? Thanks

It looks like an undocumented twentieth century American pseudo-hallmark to me. You might want to ask the seller to explain how they concluded that "this dates back to the 1800's" and also how they dated it to 1875. The seller says "it has Victorian style ornate feet." Items manufactured in the 1900s did also. Particularly the ones with pseudo-hallmarks and marked "Silver on Copper" -- they were reproductions of earlier English styles. IP: Logged |

Seller didn't respond to my 2 eMails on how date of 1875 was determined. Somebody jumped in on the Buy-It-Now price so it's gone. Thanks for your expertise---- IP: Logged |
