Brent Posts: 1507 Registered: May 99	posted 06-09-2003 10:59 PM The mark appears to be one used by the Hartford Sterling Co., a Philadelphia-based silverplate manufacturer. They were in business from 1902 to at least 1931. The style of your piece places it in the 1920's, and it is silver plate. I believe there have been a few more threads regarding this company; if you use the Forum search function, you may be able to get some more information. Brent IP: Logged

LOL Seldom do I search for value of the item, only the story behind it. It is always the telling of the story on each different items in our home that makes the pieces stand out so well. We both got divorced and lost everything to our X's, so now we are building our home's history, one piece at a time. ------------------ A Troll walks a field and finds waiting for him treasures of knowledge and a wealth of love from his wife.
