![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() [01-1073] Hi, I'm very new to this & I am hoping for some help. I'm looking at buying a sterling (?) dish that is shell shaped. It is marked "QUEEN VICTORIA" in upper case, & has above it what looks like a royal crest of 2 lions facing each other, & a crown above. It has no other markings aside from this. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Sorry but the technology beat me with trying to post a photo. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() It is a mark of Dodge, Inc. of Los Angeles, California. They were listed in city directories (Chicago, Dallas, L.A., Miami, and Newark) from the 1940's to at least 1975. I do not know if they are still active. They appear to be a company who sold only to wholesalers. They offered both sterling and silverplated wares. If your dish isn't marked "sterling", it is silverplate. Is the dish new? IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Notice the "D" in the shield. D is for Dodge. IP: Logged |
