If so, any information that you can forward on to me would greatly appreciated. Primarily what I would really like to find out is the approximate age, where it was made, is it silver or silver plated? I think I've been to just about every site on the internet that offers to help ID silver markings, but I didn't have much luck, so hopefully someone out there in cyber space will be able to help me out. Your piece was made by the Barbour Silver Company of Hartford, Connecticut. The company was formed in 1892 but your piece is considerably later, (I think), perhaps 1920s or 30s. It is silverplate, the last two letters E P stand for electro-plated. IP: Logged |
